Makerević: Contract on Export of Ammunition for the Pakistani Army Signed

The Bosnian ambassador to Pakistan, Nedim Makarević, has recently announced that ammunition, worth 3.3 million USD, will soon be ready for export. The ammunition will be exported directly to the Pakistani Army, and will be produced by Igman Konjic, the most prestigious ammunition supplier in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A Sarajevo export firm, Jump Logistics d.o.o, signed the contract this week in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, defeating a large British competitor, Prime Tech.

According to the ambassador, the export shipment will include 12.7mm AP (armor-piercing) sniper ammunition, which will be delivered during the upcoming months to the Army of Pakistan.

“This is the second in a row, but certainly not the last delivery of its kind to be sent to Pakistan,” says Makarević.

Makarević reminded the public that B&H has not delivered any military products to Pakistan since Bosnia’s independence up until the autumn of 2014.

“It should be noted that an outstanding contract, for which the Pretis Company has not yet delivered tank shells that have been paid for in advance, represents a huge opportunity for Igman. However, this problem is already on its way to be solved,” says Ambassador Makarević.
