The lawyer of Ratko Mladic, the Hague indictee, said he was not sure whether the former commander of the Army of Republika Srpska would appear in the court to hear a verdict for war crimes and genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
Mladic’s attorneys said the day before November 22nd , when the sentence was announced in The Hague Tribunal, that the health of 75-year-old Mladic is not good, and lawyer Dragan Ivetic said on Monday for AP that their goal is not to obstruct the case, but to check Mladic’s condition.
Ivetic said that the doctor warned Mladic of any form of stress, which involves a court case, because it could increase the risk of having a stroke or a heart attack or even death.
