81 years since the Battle of Kozara are being marked in Mrakovica.
At the memorial cross, honor was paid to the victims and candles were lit, after which wreaths and flowers were placed on the central monument.
Representatives of the institutions of the Republika Srpska and Serbia, local communities, the Third Infantry (Republika Srpska) Regiment, SUBNOR of the Republika Srpska and Serbia, organizations stemming from the past war, and political parties are attending the commemoration of this significant historical event.
During the battle on Kozara, around 40,000 civilians were killed, and 68,000 were taken to camps, including more than 23,000 children.
