Marking the Birthday of Prophet Mohammad

By performing a ”mevlud” (remembrance on Prophet Mohammad p.b.u.h.) in Bajrakli mosque in Belgrade, Muslims have celebrated the birthday of Prophet Mohammad. On that occasion, mufti of Belgrade Muhamed Jusufspahić have reminded that Prophet came with the message that all humans are free if they serve to God.

”He came to announce that our freedom and our salvation is in being obedient to Allah. With that message and with the wish that we become free in a way that Prophet thought us, I pray to Allah that these lights of our mosque in our Belgrade remain until the end of the world”, said Mufti Jusufspahić.

Mevlud and other is also performed in Macedonia, in Hadži Balaba Mosque in Skopje.
Today, Central ceremony and mevlud will also be organized in Sarajevo, in Gazi Husrev-beg mosque.
