Marking of the Independence Day of BiH organized in Islamabad

IslamabadIn the diplomatic enclave in Islamabad was marked the Day of Independence of BiH on Thursday.

At the invitation of BH Ambassador in Pakistan Nedim Makarevic, from 80 foreign ambassadors that are located in Islamabad, a total of 66 of them arrived at this great ceremony.

The guest of honor was the Minister of War Production Tanvir Rana Hussain.

Besides him, special guests and therefore guests in the lounge area, noted Ambassador Makarevic, were ambassadors of EU Jean-Francois Cautain, Austria Dr. Brigita Blaha, Germany Ina Apel, Turkey Babur Girgin, Romania Nicolae Goia, Bulgaria Rumen Stoitchev and doyen of diplomatic corps in Islamabad Bakhitbek Shabarbayenkao, as well as former ambassadors of Pakistan in BiH Halid Xhaferi and Yusuf Mohammed.

At the ceremony were intoned the national anthems of BiH and Pakistan.

In his welcoming address, the Ambassador of BiH to Pakistan Nedim Makarevic explained the importance of the celebration of the Independence Day to the high officials and the suffering that BiH had to go through in the period from 1992 to the end of 1995.

The ceremony was attended by over 200 guests from the diplomatic and political life of Pakistan.
