Mate Rimac: I am investing in BiH for this Reason

His to-do list is long, and you have to wait for months to talk to him. As it was said from his company, that waiting is especiallyrelated to countries where Mate Rimac does not have a business that is developing.

Those familiar with the automotive industry point out that Rimac literally “came out of the garage” nine years ago, and today his company receives 200 million euros in European funds just for the development of an electric car without a driver.

Like a dream

His success did not come by itself. The whole world writes about the innovator and entrepreneur Mate Rimac. The success of the young man from Livno seems like a dream to many. Rimac Automobili became the Rimac Group, divided into two companies – Bugatti Rimac and Rimac Technology, but despite all the success, he has not forgotten its roots.

Mate Rimac invests in the work of the Linnovate Technology Park in Livno, which was established to improve the economy that will contribute to economic development through technologically advanced business, stimulate entrepreneurial and investment culture, as well as strengthen exports and diaspora.

”My only reason for investing in Livno and the region is that I want to give my contribution so that this area does not become extinct. Nature is beautiful and I am attached to this area, but there is no reason to invest, except patriotism and, possibly, tourism. No job can work without people. And the human capital here, almost completely, has gone abroad,” noted Mate Rimac, founder and CEO of Rimac Group, in an exclusive statement.

Namely, the new Rimac Campus is currently under construction, near Zagreb, based on the idea of creating the best possible working environment for employees from all over the world, and is located on a plot of 200.000 square meters.

Development base

Mate Rimac wanted the new headquarters of his company to embody not only the character of the brand but also the character of the employees. The spaces are designed to be friendly, open, and warm, with additional elements of entertainment. Unlike most locations in the automotive industry, where high fences are set up, with a level of secrecy, the Rimac Campus will be open to the public, and interaction between visitors, guests, and employees is desirable and welcome.

”The new complex will be the headquarters of Rimac Technology and Bugatti Rimac, as well as a base for research, development, and production. The size and ambitions of the new Rimac Campus are enormous, making it one of the largest buildings of its kind in Europe, not just in the automotive industry. The planned financial investments in the project exceed 200 million euros. The works are in full swing, progressing at high speed, and the completion of the first phase of construction is expected next year,” Rimac Group explained.

Expansion of production

Today, the Rimac Group has more than 1.500 employees in several locations in Europe and continues to grow, establishing new production processes.

”This year we are employing 700 new workers and opening new offices in several locations in Europe, expanding production on campus and other locations that offer proximity to resources with strong capabilities specific to the automotive industry and technology on which Rimac Group works,” they told, Avaz writes.
