Matthew Field was appointed as the new Ambassador of UK to BiH. He will replace Edward Ferguson in this position, and he will officially take over in the month of August this year.

As announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, Field has a very rich experience and biography. He joined the UK Foreign Office in 2003. He worked in the Middle East Peace Process, then as a resource manager, he was the head of the Europe Directorate in Croatia, and he worked as the political adviser to the EU Special Representative in Skopje, Macedonia. Later on, he worked in the US Directorate as well as a political counsellor in Brazil.

Field worked as the Head of the Political Department of the EU Delegation and the Office of the Special Representative of EU in BiH in the year of 2016.

Field has two children with his wife Martina Field-Klisovic.

To recall, Ferguson was in the position of the Ambassador of UK to BiH since 2014. He recently stated that there is reason for him to be optimistic after his three-year stay in BiH because a large number of British companies showed their interest in investing in BiH. He added that this number will be much greater after the reform processes in our country are finally completed.
