Representatives of all 37 organizations of the Metalworkers’ Union of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other friendly unions are coming to Zenica on May 1st for a May Day rally in support of the workers of the New Steelworks Zenica, announced Kenan Mujkanović, the president of the Metalworkers’ Union of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, on his Facebook profile.

“The May Day message is: Shutting down steel production is not an option – Let’s save the Zenica Steelworks, jobs and the foundations of our industry! Together we are the strongest!,” said Mujkanović.

The Metalworkers’ Union had previously announced a pre-test rally in Sarajevo for April 30th, on the same occasion, in front of the buildings of the Council of Ministers of BiH, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Association of Employers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
