The mayor of the municipality of Srebrenica spoke ahead of the commemoration of the genocide against Bosniaks, during which he insulted the Mothers of Srebrenica. They answered him with the question: Why today?
He told that the Serbs are not giving up on reconciliation, but neither are they giving up on the fight for the truth about “what really happened from 1992 to 1995 in Srebrenica”.
He said that relations between Bosniaks and Serbs in Srebrenica are functioning well today, but that “the Mothers of Srebrenica are still the engine of all hatred between people”.
“The vast majority of these women do not live in Srebrenica, but have a building in Potocari. A number of these women have become really rich. When they go to ‘tell’ their truth about the war in BiH, most of them wear a ‘bug’ in their ear, so there are funny events when they don’t hear what they are being told,” said Grujicic.
On the statement that Srebrenica mothers do not acknowledge the pain of Serbian mothers, Grujicic said that this is the last thing that can be expected from them, as well as from other Bosniaks.
The “Mothers of Srebrenica” issued a statement asking him why he had to insult today.
“Why on the day when we send the parts of our children’s bones to Potocari. Couldn’t you hold back at least until five days have passed since the funeral?”, they asked.
“That is because, Grujicic, your hatred is obviously stronger than all other human feelings. Because your idols are Karadzic, Mladic, Seselj and others whose hands are so bloody that not even the Drina can wash them,” they state.
They referred to his comment in which he says that he does not even expect the Mothers of Srebrenica to honor the Serbian victims and that they spread hatred.
“We mothers don’t hate anyone, not even you, mayor. We, mothers, are proud that we managed to prove the genocide against our children, Klix.ba reports.
