In the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the main hearing in the court proceedings against the President of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik and the director of the Official Gazette of the RS, Miloš Lukić, has been scheduled for today, after the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina rejected the request of the defense to postpone the hearing.
The Appellate Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina rejected the appeal of the defense of the President of the Republic of Slovenia Milorad Dodik against the decision by which the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina refused to move the trial from Sarajevo to Banjaluka. The request of the defense to move the trial was previously rejected by the Extra-Trial Chamber, immediately before the originally scheduled main trial.
Let us remind you that the proceedings against Milorad Dodik and Miloš Lukić are being conducted before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina due to suspicion that they have committed the criminal offense of “Failure to execute the decisions of the High Representative”.
Milorad Dodik and Miloš Lukić are accused that from July 1 to 9 of this year in Banja Luka, knowingly and knowing that the High Representative Christian Schmidt made a decision preventing the entry into force of the Law on Non-Enforcement of Decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH, they undertook official actions in in order to continue the legislative procedure.
The indictment against Dodik and Lukić states that Dodik signed the decrees, “even though he was aware that the decisions of the High Representative in BiH (OHR) were binding”.
