macak_trebinje_srnaOne cat has spent the last three years living on a roof of a small house in the center of Trebinje. He never got off the roof and even when the firefighters take him down, he returns to his place immediately.

Citizens say that the black cat became a true attraction and a favorite of all passersby, who give him food sometimes. Nada Vico, a woman who works nearby, feeds the cat regularly. Milojka Setenčić, a woman who lives across the street from the house on whose roof the cat lives, says that they see the cat walking on the roof every day, but that they never saw him come down from it.

“He comes to the edge of the roof every morning around 7 am and waits for Mrs. Nada, who feeds him,” Milojka said.

Commander of the Firefighting Unit Trebinje Danko Vuković said that firefighters have tried to take the cat off the roof several times, but that he returned to the roof immediately every time. Thus, they gave up and realized that the cat does not want to be disturbed.

Residents of the settlement say that, since a restaurant, cafes and shops are in the vicinity of the house where the cat lives, he is never hungry, and that it could be even said that he is a picky eater. The cat is often visited by female cats, but they do not spend much time on his roof.
