Meeting of BiH and Austrian Business People in Tuzla

The Tuzla Canton Chamber of Commerce organized yesterday a meeting of business people from Austria led by representatives of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and business people from the area of Tuzla Canton for possible mutual cooperation between business people.

“We wish to establish cooperation and this is the beginning of an initial meeting. We expect for people to become familiar on the opportunities in the Tuzla Canton and to see what kind of potential and opportunities there are in this canton’’, said that President of the Cantonal Chamber of Commerce Nedret Kikanović.

He expressed satisfaction with the response of the businesspeople, considering that they representatives from 17 companies and 27 representatives from Tuzla Canton came to the meeting. They are looking for potential partners, and this shows mutual interst.

Kikanović explained that the Austrian donors would have many visits to Tuzla canton, Doboj, Bijeljina and Orašje, and expects some positive results.

The President of the Tuzla Canton Chamber of Commerce informed the guests of the economic steps in the area of Tuzla Canton on the difficulties of business.

With his colleagues he presented the guests from Austria the industries that are in the Tuzla Canton.

At today’s meeting there were also presentations on the economic potentials of four chambers of commerce in the region. The Tuzla Canton Chamber of Commerce, Regional Chamber of Bijeljina, Doboj District Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce of the Posavina Canton led the presentations.

For this occasion, guests from Austria have already secured a number of reputable businesses.

The companies are: Buchinger Anlagen-Stahl. Tohrbau GmbH, Cafe co International Holding GmbH, Containex Handles GmbH, DI Mulalic Ishak, Dr Ing. Franz Bohm, Erzeugung chem. Produkte GmbH, Grawe, HYDAC – Hydraulik GmbH, KAMA Betonferrigteile GmbH, Leitner & Leitner, Pewag Austria GmbH, Lenze Antriebstechnik GmbH, STO GmbH, TERRA-MIX Bodenstablisierungs GmbH, TÜV AUSTRIA HOLDING AG and Woma GmbH.

During his stay in BiH, representatives of the Austrian companies will have a chance to personally visit some successful BiH companies from the region.
