Meeting of the Contact Group for the Defense of Ukraine

On behalf of the Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zukan Helez, the head of the Military Department of the Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to NATO and the military representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union, Brigadier Edin Fako, on Wednesday, participated in the meeting of the Contact Group for the Defense of Ukraine in Brussels.

The meeting at the level of ministers of foreign affairs of NATO member countries and partners was organized at the headquarters of NATO by the Secretary of Defense of the United States of America. Along with Brigadier Fako, the staff officer in the Military Department of the Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to NATO, Colonel Dobrislav Biloš, attended the dinner.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, also addressed the audience, who thanked for the support so far and emphasized the need and importance of continuing to help Ukraine with weapons and equipment, until the final liberation of the entire territory, which the Russian Federation occupied during the months-long invasion, and the realization of full sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Representatives of 50 countries participated in the meeting. In addition to the aforementioned, the meeting was also attended by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the Chief of the Joint Staff of the US Armed Forces, General Charles Brown, who assumed this position 10 days ago, as well as the new Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov.

During the meeting, full support for Ukraine was expressed, and allies and partners announced continued full support in the future.
