Task Force Meeting tuzilastvobih.gov.baMinister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Mektić yesterday announced that at last night’s session of the Task Force of the Coordination body for the fight against extremism in B&H information and opportunities will be exchanged in case it is requested from B&H to help France.

“The attacks in Paris have demonstrated in which way the terrorists fight against innocent citizens. I am traveling to Paris on Monday, and I will express the attitude that we cannot fight against terrorism only by putting it under control, monitor it and live with that problem,” said Mektić prior to the session.

Mektić assessed that terrorism must be defeated, destroyed and eliminated, as well as won against in its origins and places where it emerges.

“In B&H we have certain sources of terrorism; we have a radical ideology which is being propagated and accepted, a violent extremism and certain terrorist acts. As long as we tolerate radical ideology and violent extremism, we will always have a terrorist threat,” Mektić considers.

Mektić also believes that terrorism in B&H threatens to destroy the country, highlighting that some websites celebrated the terrorist attack in Paris, adding that he will suggest to the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H to process those cases.

Session of the Task Force of the Coordination body for the fight against extremism in B&H started last night at 7 p.m.
