Members of the Border Police Unit (BP) of BiH Gorica, as part of the operational action “Cargo”, prevented the smuggling of 17 citizens of the Republic of Turkey in the town of Čubrina in the area of the municipality of Posušje.

On May 1, the smuggling of nine citizens of the Republic of Turkey was prevented. Smuggling was discovered during the surveillance of the state border and control of two passenger motor vehicles, BH. national marks managed by two citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, N.Đ. (1992) and Z.I. (1995), it is stated in the statement of the GP BiH.

Previously, in another case, on April 29, officers of this unit prevented the smuggling of eight citizens of the Republic of Turkey. Four citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are linked to this smuggling: M.O. (1998), S.S. (1988), S.S. (1995) and B.B. (2000), who smuggled foreign citizens in two vehicles, BH. national marks, one of which was found abandoned.

The on-duty prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH were informed about the aforementioned events, according to whose orders members of the Border Police of BiH are continuing further measures and actions to prove the criminal offense of people smuggling.
