Members of the BiH Presidency met with the President of the Republic of Cyprus

The members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina met today with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, and stressed that the relations between the two countries are friendly, good and without open issues.

They expressed their belief that today’s visit will contribute to the further deepening of friendly relations and cooperation, the Presidency of BiH announced.

At the meeting, mutual interest was expressed in continuing and strengthening bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Cyprus, for mutual benefit and prosperity. The interlocutors stressed the importance of strengthening economic cooperation, with an emphasis on the areas of tourism and trade, and opening new investment opportunities.

The members of the Presidency thanked Cyprus for its support on the path to the EU and the technical and other forms of assistance offered to BiH for obtaining full EU membership. In this context, they expressed the expectation that progress will be made on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European path during the Cypriot Presidency of the European Union in the second half of 2026.

President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides said that today’s visit is a confirmation of the friendly relations between the two countries. He expressed his intention to advance all aspects of cooperation, especially in the economic field, by organizing business forums in areas of mutual interest.
