Members of the Federal Police Administration conduct Searches in Sarajevo

Members of the Federal Police Administration (FUP) this morning, in accordance with the order of the Sarajevo Cantonal Court (KSS), were engaged in a search of the premises of the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo, is confirmed to Fena news agency at the Prosecutor’s Office of the Canton of Sarajevo.

It is a continuation of the action codenamed ‘Start’, in which the mayor of that municipality, Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, was arrested in May.

And that action is being carried out by order of the CS Prosecutor’s Office, and as the media reports, the target is Hadžibajrić’s assistants.

As part of the Start action, in addition to Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, the following have been arrested so far: Elmedin Karišik, Seid Hadžibajrić and Alma Destanović.

In the meantime, they were sentenced to one-month detention, and are suspected of organized crime, abuse of position, receiving and giving gifts, and money laundering.
