How much will the Members of the Forum for the Coordination of Donors allocate for B&H?

donations for B&hThe B&H Council of Ministers has received the Report “Review of donor activities in 2013“, which has been prepared by the B&H Ministry of Finance and Treasury.

The B&H Ministry of Finance and Treasury is responsible to continue activities within its jurisdiction related to the further improvement of cooperation with domestic institutions, members of the Forum for the coordination of donors and other donors present in B&H, with the aim of the more effective use of the official development assistance (ODA), in accordance with the priorities of B&H and principles of the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness.

Members of the Forum for the coordination of donors in B&H allocated a total of 699.83 million euros, from which 198.85 million are in the form of a grant, and 500.98 million euro in the form of credit.

The largest creditors were the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, European Investment Bank, International Financial Corporation and the World Bank, while the EU, SAD/USAI, Sweden/SIDA, Germany, UNDAP and Norway ensured most of the funds in the form of a grant.

The highest percentage of assistance was allocated for development in the private sector (29%), for construction of transport and energy infrastructure (29%), and for the environment and climate changes sector (24%), as announced from the Council of Ministers.
