BiH Presidency Chairman Zeljko Komsic and BiH Presidency members Sefik Dzaferovic and Milorad Dodik received EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice President Josep Borrell.
Opinions were exchanged on the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region and globally, as well as on the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was said that the regional visit of the EU High Representative is an opportunity to talk with partners in the Western Balkans and to support EU reforms and priorities on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European path.
The situation in Ukraine and the impact on the security of Europe, as well as facing the economic consequences, were also discussed.
Gratitude was expressed to the Presidency of BiH for supporting Operation Althea, whose mission High Representative Borrell visited yesterday as part of his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the European External Action Service Angelina Eichhorst and the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Johan Sattler.
“There are policies that want to impose something on someone, to legalize some things that are not in accordance with the Constitution, and that BiH cannot function and survive,” Dodik told reporters after a meeting of BiH Presidency members with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
When it comes to electoral reform in BiH, the Serbian member of the Presidency said that everyone is asking for something to be done in that area.
According to him, technical changes to the Election Law cannot be adopted without the Republika Srpska representative.
