Members of the SDS Presidency, including the party’s president Mirko Šarović, resigned at today’s session in Banja Luka.
“The position of all of us is that the election result is bad and is a failure on all four levels. Expectations were higher, but that is a realistic assessment. The presidency did not ask for an alibi for the result,” said Šarović.
He cited the result of the joint candidate of SDS and PDP for president of the RS, Jelena Trivić, as a failure in the elections.
Šarović said that the Presidency of the SDS will function in a technical mandate and that the session of the Main Committee is scheduled for next Saturday, which will be followed by internal party elections.
