In December 2015, the Federal Police Administration established an Operational Headquarters to combat terrorism and violent extremism, which continuously takes measures and actions within its competence to prevent, detect and document offenses in this area.
One of the measures being implemented is to visit the Selefi communities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. As it was confirmed to Patria News Agency in September, members of the Special Police Unit patrolled the Wahhabi communities in the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
“Measures are being taken and such communities are visited from time to time,” was stated.
The report with all observations is submitted to the Headquarters for Combating Terrorism and Violent Extremism.
In order to combat terrorism more effectively, the head quarter has cooperated with relevant prosecutors, law enforcement agencies and other security agencies in BiH in conducting activities to share information and undertake joint activities.
