Merhamet in Herzegovina collected over 100,000 BAM for the Palestinian People

The regional board of “Merhamet” Mostar is successfully carrying out a fundraising campaign for the Palestinian people in Gaza, and so far over 102,084.50 BAM has been collected in the territory of Herzegovina.

The action is carried out in cooperation with educational institutions in the area of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and so far a total of 83,745.20 marks has been collected, the organization announced.

The collection of funds was carried out with the consent of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Croatian National Academy of Sciences, and the action was supported by 33 primary and secondary schools, as well as employees and students of the Faculty of Teaching and the University “Džemal Bijedić” in Mostar.

Numerous citizens with their contributions and payments to the account also supported the action in the amount of 5,230.00 marks.

In addition, 13,109.30 marks have been collected so far through Merhamet’s humanitarian cash registers in shopping centers.

The action lasts until January 16, 2024, after which the collected funds will be combined with the total amount at the level of Merhamet in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“We are very satisfied with the response of the educational institutions, to which we would like to thank for their trust and cooperation,” Merhamet points out.

In addition, they thanked the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the HNK and all other institutions, organizations and citizens who expressed their solidarity and supported their efforts to collect as many funds as possible to jointly help the vulnerable Palestinian people in Gaza. .

“I am proud of the people in Herzegovina who carry Merhamet in themselves and always give their maximum and prove their solidarity with those who are threatened and who need our help,” said Adnin Hasić, director of the Regional Board of ‘Merhamet’ Mostar.
