Yesterday, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested nine persons in the area of Laktaši for organized crime and drug trafficking.
In the action called ‘Otava’, carried out in coordination with police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, residential and auxiliary premises and movable property used by persons deprived of liberty were searched in Čapljina, Kneževo, Teslić, Laktaši, Banja Luka, Zvornik and in the Brčko district of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the search, 40 kilograms of the narcotic drug “Canabis Stativa L” were discovered, which was transported from the Croatian port of Ploče to Bosnia and Herzegovina in a cargo vehicle used by one of the persons deprived of their liberty.
The activities were carried out by order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and persons deprived of their liberty will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina after criminal processing and interrogation as suspects.
