The procedure for starting a special account, where citizens can deposit money to help the Rohingya Muslims has been begun. Citizens will be notified about the number of the account.

Donations can also be made in the headquarters of Merhamet in Sarajevo (Bistrik 2), as well as in all regional and elementary seats of Merhament across BiH. More information can be acquire on the phone number 033 236-527.

“We cannot be mute witnesses to the plight of the Rohingya. It isn’t enough to support them only verbally. We need to support them with concrete actions. Merhamet will animate its organizational units in the country and abroad, our friends and partner organizations in BiH and across the world. We’re convinced that our solidarity with them will not be in vain and that help will reach them as soon as people,” Hajrudin Sahic, the president of Merhamet, said.

Merhamet, alongside the citizens of BiH, has organized such humanitarian actions many times, especially for places struck by catastrophic natural disasters and other crises, such as in Palestine, Somalia, Afghanistan, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Japan and Indonesia.
