djeca-konjevicThe German government and the office of the Chancellor Angela Merkel are familiar with the problem of the children from Konjević Polje, who are prevented from taking classes in their mother tongue, and request that a solution is found for them, for all sides to turn to pragmatism and compromise, writes Dnevni Avaz.

In short, this was the answer by the office of the German Chancellor from the letter of the Bosnian Academic Circle (BAK) in Munich, headed by Dr. Bisera Suljić-Boškailo, which asked for help in solving the problem for the children of Konjević Polje.

In response, transmitted through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, it stated that that German government cares about human rights, especially the rights of minorities, and therefore monitors the situation in B&H with great care and cooperation with international partners, and does everything in order to improve the situation through advice and a number of projects.

‘’We care about the children from Konjević Polje and want them to go to school as soon as possible. The OSCE is in intensive contact with the RS Ministry. We believe that, based on conversations we have had with the representatives of the German Embassy to B&H, a solution is possible’’, said in a letter of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany. Suljić-Boškailo told Avaz that BAK will continue to fight so that every child in B&H is happy to be in school.
