Mersad Berber’s Exhibition in City Hall visited by 13,500 People

The retrospective and posthumously exhibition “Mersad Berber – Allegory of Bosnia”, by the great artist Mersad Berber, which was open on July 6th in Sarajevo’s City Hall, was visited by 13,500 people, according to Berber’s son Ensar.

“And the tickets were being sold, so the results are impressive. That gallery’s breaking all records,” he says proudly.

The ticket costs 10 BAM and those interested will be able to visit the gallery from August 25th until the 27th free of charge, thanks to the Ministry of Culture and Sport of Canton Sarajevo. Due to the high level of interestedness, the gallery will be extended to September 15th.

“I got that information yesterday and I’m very glad. The tickets are as they but because, as you know, City Hall had its own expenses, even though our foundation covered a good deal of the expenses thanks to the sponsors we found. Every gallery costs. Everywhere in the world, institutions like City Hall are charging entrance to gallery and other such cultural events since they finance themselves that way,” Berber explained.
