”Usually, Dodik does not get ideas for his acts from his head, he is a representative of a policy that thinks that borders can be redrawn, which thinks that it should lead to turmoil in our area and then the Tudjman-Milosevic policy can be realized again, ” told the former president of Croatia, Stjepan Mesic to journalists at the Global Baku Forum after the panel on the Western Balkans.
”So, it is a systemic policy, he is the exponent of that policy, ” Mesic pointed out.
“The problem now is that Europe finds it difficult to assess, because if it evaluates well, then the representative of the international community should react as a football referee reacts. It is the same situation here, Dodik obviously catches the ball with his hand, but he cannot stay in football like this other person, his twin brother, the breaker of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) – Dragan Covic. They are two twin brothers, breakers, but no one will state that, they talk to them as if they were some kind of politicians but I tell you, you just have to look at politicians. Politicians, who talk without even speaking, who have their mouths slightly crooked and can barely open them, that it is difficult to understand them, but obviously it doesn’t bother them. I can’t watch them, but some people watch them, “said Mesic.
As for the last messages of the current president of Croatia, Zoran Milanovic, Mesic noted that he is obviously doing it now on an assessment of what is behind these provocative statements, so everyone is talking to everyone.
“It is probably an attempt to assess the situation,” Mesic told.
Speaking about the Global Baku Forum, Mesic stressed that it is good to organize such forums because many facts are stated that are important not only for our region but also for the world. Further, he talked about Serbia and Croatia and relations in the region.
“The problem of our region is that Serbia did not experience catharsis after the war and those who came to power in Serbia are not against Milosevic because he went to war, but because he did not win the war. That is our whole problem. On the other hand, you have Croatia, which has largely retained the relations that existed during Tudjman’s time, who divided BiH with Milosevic, and now you have those successors who think that the time has come in the world to divide BiH again.
