Milanovic: The Indictments against Croatian Pilots threaten the Relations between Serbs and Croats in BiH

Serbia’s lawsuit against four members of the Croatian Air Force (HRZ) could worsen relations between Croats and Serbs in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Croatian President Zoran Milanovic said.

According to him, this lawsuit is baseless.

He once again called the member of the Presidency of BiH and the president of the SNSD, Milorad Dodik, an ally of the Croats in BiH, pointing out that this indictment could damage the relations between the Serbian and Croatian peoples.

”This does not suit us because of the relationship with the Republika Srpska (RS) and Dodik. Now there are elections in BiH. So, Croats and Serbs in BiH are, unfortunately, but that’s how it is, directed at each other. This contaminates that space. I don’t expect Dodik to accuse Belgrade now. However, Dodik is a Croatian ally in BiH. We must understand that and act accordingly. This spoils the relatively good relations between Croats and Serbs in BiH. With this, it is trampled, torn apart,” Milanovic stated.

To recall, the Court of Appeal in Belgrade recently confirmed the indictment against HRZ members Vladimir Mikac, Zdenko Radulj, Zeljko Jelenic, and Danijel Borovic. They are accused of ordering rocket attacks on a column of refugees on the Petrovacka Cesta road near Bosanski Petrovac and in Svodna near Novi Grad on August 7th and 8th, 1995.
