At today’s session, the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the initiative of members of the Croat and Serb delegation clubs, requested the Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers, Zoran Tegeltija, to start the process of dismissing the current Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Bisera Turkovic.
Explaining the initiative, Lidija Bradara said on behalf of the Croatian delegate club, among other things, that Minister Turkovic is acting unprofessionally, arbitrarily and institutionally uncoordinated, which harms the international position of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Before the vote on the initiative, the delegate of the Club of Serbs Dusanka Majkic and the deputy speaker of the House Dragan Covic declared for the dismissal, accusing Turkovic of acting only in the interests of her political milieu, and not of all the constituent peoples of BiH.
Contrary to their discussions, the delegate of the Bosniak Club, Asim Sarajlic, said that post-war Bosnia and Herzegovina did not have a better official at the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs than Bisera Turkovic, while the deputy speaker of the House, Bakir Izetbegovic, asserted that Turkovic is acting exactly the opposite of what he were stated by the initiators of her dismissal, which means that her efforts are always aimed at strengthening the international reputation of BiH.
Bosniak Club delegate Denis Becirevic objected to the initiators of the minister’s dismissal and said that the dismissal of the BiH Council of Ministers should have been requested because, according to him, the current convocation of that body is the most ineffective since the war.
The session of the House of Peoples is over, the session of the House of Representatives of PSBiH is unannounced for tomorrow.
