EUFOR Chief of Staff Brigadier General Ernő Baráth welcomed members of the military attaché corps in Bosnia and Herzegovina for a debriefing on EUFOR’s biggest annual exercise Quick Response 2020. While the military diplomats had been briefed ahead of the exercise about scenario and expectations, the post exercise review showed how the European Union Forces succeeded and proved that the system functions.

The required synchronization of forces, EU and non-EU, in a short time to cover a challenging exercise scenario was outlined as one of the challenges successfully dealt with.

The briefing was attended by representatives from Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and the United Kingdom.

Some of the countries represented by their military diplomatic staff have contributed significantly to Exercise Quick Response 2020 with additional forces joining the permanent Multinational Battalion in order to test contingency plans and mechanisms of the European Union Forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Quick Response 2020 was carried out from 30 August to 5 September 2020 in close cooperation with Local Authorities, Law Enforcement Agencies and BiH Armed Forces.
