The military parade “The Power of Unity”, which featured 2,500 pieces of weapons and military equipment, 600 vehicles, 70 aircraft, and 20 watercraft, has ended in Belgrade.

The parade ended with paratroopers jumping from an H-145 helicopter, from a height of between 1,500 and 2,000 meters, carrying the flags of the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian Army.

As previously announced, students in the blockade and citizens gathered at the roundabout in New Belgrade, but the police did not let them pass and greet their army, reports N1.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said on Instagram that the military parade is the pride of Serbia.

“This is the pride of Serbia. We worked on this together, soldiers and citizens, the state and the people. This is both the survival and victory of Serbia, which wants peace and prosperity and knows how to preserve its dignity, territory and future. This is our strength. The strength of unity,” Vučić said.

The highest state officials invited the citizens to attend the military parade, stressing that they will be able to see how “the Serbian Army has been modernized in the past ten years” and how strong it is, and rejected as baseless comments that it represents any threat.

Entry was free for adult citizens and minors accompanied by parents or guardians.
