milionth passenger Tuzla AirportThe plane with the millionth passenger landed yesterday at the International Airport Tuzla. The millionth passenger is a ten-year-old Tamara Motika from Bijeljina, and she landed from Basel.

“This was my first plane ride, and it was beautiful. I arrived in Tuzla from Basle, and they told us that I am the millionth passenger during the flight,” said Tamara, who received a plane ticket for any of the 16 destinations that are established from the International Airport Tuzla.

The millionth passenger was transported by the plane of the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe Wizz Air, which established collaboration with the International Airport Tuzla back in May 2013, and they were counting the number of passengers since then.

Last year, more than 310,000 passengers traveled by Wizz Air, which is a personal record of the International Airport Tuzla, and that figure amounted to 196,000 in the first five months of 2017.

“Since the beginning of 2017, the total number of passengers was increased by more than 56 % in comparison to the same period last year. We offer 16 routes to seven countries from Tuzla, and we opened 67 direct workplaces by coming to this airport,” said Manager for Public Relations of Wizz Air, Sorina Ratz.

Director of the International Airport Tuzla Rifat Karasalihovic said that the millionth passenger made all employees at the International Airport Tuzla very happy and proud.
