The traditional event “Mimosa Festival” will be held from February 14 to March 2 in Herceg Novi.

The beginning of the event will be marked by a traditional procession of majorettes, the City Music, trombone players and members of “Maškar” from Škvere to Igalo, where a concert by Ana Bekuta and Hanka Paldum will be held, the Herceg Novi Municipality announced.

The second day of the event, February 15, brings one of the traditionally most visited events – the Mimosa Harvest – a festival of mimosa, fish and wine along the Riviera, with a performance by Goca Tržan in Baošići, while in the evening a large masquerade ball will be held at the “Simo Milošević” Institute in Igalo, where the audience will dance to the hits of Indira Levak.

All those who do not go to the masquerade ball, an open-air concert by “Garav sokak” in Igalo awaits.

The third day of the event will be marked by an attractive picigin competition on the “Rafaelo” beach, with a performance by the Toć Ensemble, while in the evening a concert will be held on the plateau in Igalo by Marko Luis.

A novelty in the program is Bokeška Street – the first competition in making pasta šute on the Škver on February 19, with performances by local performers, and on the same day in the morning a Wine Salon will be opened at the “Lazure” hotel.

The international carnival will be held on February 22, and numerous carnival groups will parade from the Tito Villa park to the plateau in Igalo, followed by an open-air masked ball and a concert by the “Hari Mata Hari” group.

The third, final weekend will begin with a concert by the “Crvena jabuka” group on the plateau in Igalo on February 28, while a concert by Džibonija is scheduled for March 1.

This year’s Mimosa Festival will also offer a traditional, three-day flower exhibition, a fish dinner, performances by the Zvezdara Theater and the Duško Radović Small Theater, literary evenings and exhibitions, a traditional concert by the Sloga Cultural and Artistic Society, and a series of sports programs.

The organizers of the 56th Mimosa Festival are the Municipality and Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi and the Public Cultural Institution “Herceg Fest”, with the support of numerous sponsors and friends of the festival.

The slogan of this year’s event is “Herceg Novi calls – party, sun, sea”.
