At the meeting, the Administration of the mines proposed to the miners the ways of fulfilling their requests which also arrived from the parent enterprise, Elektroprivreda. President of the Union of Miners of the Black Coal Mine “Zenica” Mehmed Oruc said that it was decided to freeze the strike.

“After proposed measures on the solution of problems and requests that we have sent, we made a decision to freeze the strike until the fulfillment of requests on the payment of regress, wages, and other payments and investments in the Mine Zenica”, Oruc said.

Mines Administration received an offer from Elektroprivreda to pay a part of regress to the miners in the amount of 400 BAM by the end of next weeks, that the wages will be paid regularly every 15th in a month, and that the loans will be paid by the end of the month.

“The program of investments was presented today and in the coming six months Elektroprivreda will pay 500.000 BAM each month in the name of investments, and as of New Year until 2017 it should amount to around 49 million BAM”, Oruc said, and invited the miners to come to work.

Director of the BCM “Zenica” Esad Civic said that all requests in the coming period will be met.
