On the occasion of the December 21st , the Miners Day, in the Coal Mine “Gračanica” near Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, a special ceremony was organized, where outstanding business results in 2017 were highlighted.

Namely, the mine digging plan was surpassed by ten percent, coal production by 25 percent, and the realization by more than thirty percent, although by the end of this year nine more days remained.

The representatives of the trade unions are also satisfied with the achieved success, but also with the working conditions of the employees, who are getting better each year.

“Our members are satisfied with their income, as well as the fact that they retire without any problems, since all the fees have been paid to them, “ Muamer Causevic, the president of the trade union in this mine.

It is hoped that the recently signed collective agreement for mining sector will improve the situation in the mines in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

“The miners perform their job professionally and correctly, which is why they deserve better material and social status. They never complain, even when they work in extreme circumstances, “ he stressed.

He added that the coal mine of Gornji Vakuf, which operates as part of Koncern Elektroprivreda BiH, employs about 200 workers, eight of whom have been retired to a deserved pension.
