Minister Luhrmann: “Dodik and his Representatives threatened me with Violence”

German minister Anna Luhrmann spoke out on April 4th, 2025, after her visit to Banja Luka.

In her statement on the social network Instagram, she said that she was visiting Banja Luka.

“It is a beautiful city with wonderful people. The people I met there welcomed me warmly.

I had a number of excellent meetings with civil society and the opposition. Dodik’s secessionist actions are unacceptable.

At the end of my program in Banja Luka, Dodik once again showed his destructive approach. His representatives threatened me and my delegation with violence. This is a sign of weakness. Dodik is increasingly isolated and does not have the support of Republika Srpska (RS) citizens.

I received many messages of support from Banja Luka – people are ashamed of Dodik’s actions. I have a clear message for all people in RS: We will continue to stand by your side – on your path toward prosperity, stability, and the European Union (EU),” she stated.

Earlier, the RS Government and Milorad Dodik declared the German minister a ‘persona non grata’ in the RS.
