Minister Luhrmann: Dodik’s Representatives threatened me

German Minister for Europe and Climate Anna Luhrmann has spoken out after the RS government declared her persona non grata. She said that during her visit to Banja Luka, representatives of RS President Milorad Dodik threatened her with violence.

After being declared persona non grata and prevented from holding a meeting with the opposition PDP, Luhrmann said that this was a sign of weakness and Dodik’s increasing isolation. She told the citizens of RS that Germany would remain with them on their European path, despite, as she says, the unacceptable secessionist actions of the entity leadership.

“Towards the end of my program in Banja Luka Dodik demonstrated again his destructive approach. His resprentatives threatened me and my delegation with violence. This is a sign of weakness. Dodik is increasingly isolated & lacks the support of the citizens of Republika Srpska,” she wrote on the X platform.

The RS government, on the orders of the RS President Milorad Dodik, declared German Minister Anna Luhrmann persona non grata the moment she arrived in Banja Luka for a meeting with representatives of the opposition in the RS National Assembly.

The meeting was cancelled, and the minister left the city under police escort. All on the orders of Milorad Dodik, who had repeatedly and inappropriately commented on her arrival in Banja Luka.

“She left. I cannot believe that she is so naive that after all the lies and insults she has told, just to please the Sarajevo bazaar, she expected us to silently watch her wandering around Republika Srpska. I am in a dilemma whether this is her own wisdom or whether she was guided by the wisdom of the opposition. Both are stupid,” Dodik said.
