The FBiH Minister of Environment and Tourism Nasiha Pozder held a meeting with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNDP) Steliana Nedera.

Successful cooperation with the FBiH Ministry of Environment and Tourism within the project of environmentally acceptable management of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in the industrial sector and the hazardous waste sector, which is implemented in intersectoral coordination, was emphasized on this occasion.

Pozder particularly welcomed the possibility of continuing work within the next phase of the project, with new activities of mapping industrial waste hot spots on the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and creating an inventory of POPs.

Willingness to intensify cooperation within the framework of fulfilling the obligations of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, which includes obligations in the field of decarbonization, reducing pollution, preserving biodiversity, especially through increasing the size of protected areas and implementing the Circular Economy Roadmap, has been expressed.

At the meeting, the UNDP representatives informed Pozder about the activities in the field of environment and tourism that were carried out in the previous period, especially referring to the Via Dinarica project, and the Bridge project within the tourism sector, which, among other things, also included the work with young people, stated the FBiH Ministry of Environment and Tourism.
