The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said today that it has been following with great interest the disappearance of Saleh Hamad through the Palestinian embassies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia ever since the father of the young man informed the embassy in Sarajevo that Hamad was declared missing on the Serbian border.

The Ministry said that Hamad’s friends, who were with him as they tried to cross from Serbia to Bosnia en route to Western European countries, gave eyewitness reports to his family about Hamad.

It pointed out that Ambassador Riziq Nimoura, under instructions from Foreign Minister Riyad Malki, is in contact with the relevant Bosnian authorities and had officially informed them of the disappearance of Hamad. The Serbian authorities have also been contacted by the Palestinian embassy there and the search is still underway.
