Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina sent a protest note to the Embassy of the Republic of Northern Macedonia in Bosnia and Herzegovina because of the postage stamp on which the map of the Independent State of Croatia (NDH) was presented.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina expresses its concern over the promotion of a postage stamp with a map of the Ustasha creation of the Independent State of Croatia (NDH), which includes, among others, the territory of independent and sovereign Bosnia and Herzegovina.”  Post of Northern Macedonia, which will be strongly condemned by the Government of the Republic of Northern Macedonia,” Bosnian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The Ministry points out the special gravity of this act because, as they stated, it comes on the day of marking the 75th anniversary of the victory over fascism and Europe Day, which witness a period of peace and prosperity after ideological creations that terrorized and divided the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina despite its historical inclusion and multiethnicity.

“The MFA of BiH looks positively at the apology sent by the Post of Northern Macedonia for, as they say, unintentional mistakes, and at their decision to withdraw the disputed postage stamp from circulation, which awakened the spirits of the past that caused the suffering of hundreds of thousands of innocent victims under Ustasha regime “, it was pointed out from the MFA of BiH.
