The Chairperson of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željka Cvijanović, attended the Eid reception held in the building of the Rijaset of the Islamic Community in BiH, in Kovači.

Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein ef. Kavazović hosted a traditional Eid reception tonight at the Rijaset building in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Kovači.

Addressing numerous guests from the diplomatic corps and political, religious and public life of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Reis Kavazović appealed for prudence and the willingness of local people to work for the benefit of all of us in the homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Insults, threats and blackmail must stop. This is not the path that the people of this country want to take. All I want is peace, a peaceful dignified life, without fear and suffering. Thank you for responding to our call and for coming to share the joy of Eid with us, it means a lot to us. God loves when people come together for the sake of good, and it is also good to gather in joy and harmony. Our religious and neighborly obligation is to respond to such an invitation. Thank you to the people from the Jewish Community, the Serbian Orthodox Church, and the Catholic Church for coming. I would like to thank the members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the ministers. Meetings like this release the fragrance of our BiH and contribute to the atmosphere of life in it. This is the essence of our country, it carries its fragrance in its bosom. I hope that it will smell here as well, but also everywhere where there are Bosnians and Herzegovinans who love this country. I wish you a pleasant stay here, may it be a happy Eid, may the holidays of our neighbors be happy as well, who together with us make up the decoration of our beautiful homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Once again Bajram Serif Mubarek Olsun,” said Kavazović.
