Mirza Teletovic talked with the Vice President of the Basketball Association of BiH Sejo Bukva, and they discussed the future of our captain of the National Basketball Team of BiH, as well as the prequalification, and the selector Dusko Vujosevic was informed about all the details.
They agreed that Mirza Teletovic will not play prequalification in order to give some space to the younger players.
That does not mean that Mirza will leave the National Team of BiH, for which he has been performing for more than 10 years now and which is part of his identity.
“I am not leaving the team and I will be available in the future, but after talking to Bukva, we decided that I will not play in pre-qualifications. If the system changes, I will be happy to answer to the new selector, and I think that younger players need the opportunity to show their game in the prequalification because we have the quality to play well against all the opponents. Because of my future and my career, I made the decision to skip prequalification, and I have been thinking about it for a long time,” said Teletovic.
I know that there are some who might interpret everything wrong, but everyone who knows me knows how much I love BiH and with how much desire, passion and enthusiasm I wear the jersey of the National Team of BiH.
After the end of my career, I will continue to live in the most beautiful country in the world – BiH and no one can take away the fact that I am a proud citizen of this country,” concluded Teletovic.
