Mitrovic-Ebibi: Possibility of Establishing Sarajevo – Skopje Airline

The Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Vojin Mitrovic, talked yesterday in Sarajevo with the Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia, H.E. Ekrem Ebibi.

The topic of the meeting was the improvement of air traffic between the two countries, with the possibility of establishing an airline Sarajevo – Skopje and enabling its economic sustainability, which, as assessed, would significantly raise the level of economic cooperation and exchange between the two countries.

As it was emphasized, there is a possibility that BiH, ie the Federation of BiH (FBiH), will be involved in subsidizing this airline, as well as North Macedonia, given that it cannot be economically viable without state aid.

Minister Mitrovic and Ambassador Ebibi agreed to start all activities related to the airline between Sarajevo and Skopje as soon as possible and to start negotiations with a company that would find interest in its establishment, which would improve economic cooperation between these two countries.
