13090132_1164097083641246_151013897_nConceptual design is finished, and by the end of the year the construction of a multifunctional sports hall with 600 seats will begin in Srebrenica, confirmed the Mayor of Srebrenica Ćamil Duraković.

“The hall will be built thanks to the funds provided by the Turkish Municipality of Beykoz, with whom we cooperate. The idea was born about two years ago, because Srebrenica needs one such facility,” Duraković said.

There are several outdoor sports fields in Srebrenica, thus the need for a construction of a sport hall is more than justified. Srebrenica will thereby get an adequate space not only for sport events, but also for cultural and other types of events.

“We had to wait for those funds for a certain period of time, but in the end it was decided that the Municipality of Beykoz will implement those funds through the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) in BiH,” said Duraković.

Srebrenica Municipality is obliged to do the project, and conceptual design is already made. Finalization of the project will begin by the end of the year. So far, three locations are being considered, and the exact location for construction of the sports hall will be selected in the upcoming period by the Assembly of Srebrenica Municipality.

The only thing that Srebrenica Municipality requested from the designer is that the hall has a capacity of 500 to 600 seats.
