More than 125,000 Russian citizens voted in the presidential elections in 111 countries by 10:00 a.m. Moscow time, announced the spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova.

“Until 10:00 a.m., 125,428 people voted abroad at 230 polling stations in 111 countries,” Zaharova said.

According to her, given the time difference, a large number of polling stations are opening later today.

Three days of voting in the Russian presidential election began on Friday, March 15.

In addition to the current president Vladimir Putin, among the candidates are Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the lower house committee for international affairs, Nikolai Kharitonov, chairman of the committee for the development of the Far East and the Arctic in the lower house, and deputy chairman of the lower house Vladislav Davankov.
