More than 300 People were evacuated from the Area of ​​Jablanica and Konjic

Last night and during the night, the population was evacuated from the area of ​​the municipalities of Jablanica and Konjic. After the announced orange warning and new heavy rainfall, the Federal Administration of Civil Protection ordered the immediate evacuation of the population from threatened areas.

A partial evacuation of the population was carried out in Buturović Polje and Raotići in the municipality of Konjic at four o’clock this morning.

Part of the inhabitants of Buturović Polje refused to leave their homes.

The head of the public relations department of the HNK Government, Darko Juka, told BHRT that a total of 330 residents were evacuated during the night.

Juka stated that they do not have information about people who sought help in the homes of friends and relatives.

As a reminder, at least 22 people died in the floods and landslides that hit parts of BiH last Friday, 19 of them in HNK and three in Fojnica.

The floods also caused enormous material damage, and help also came from the countries of the region, the EU, Turkey…
