At the beginning of November, Mostar is turning into the center of European judo and international sport. In the hall at Bijeli Brijeg, Borsa Open 2025 will be held – the biggest sports event in the city and one of the most prestigious judo tournaments for youth in the region. This year as well, more than 1.000 competitors are expected, over 130 clubs from as many as 27 countries, confirming Mostar’s status as a city of sports, youth, and international cooperation.

The event begins with the arrival of teams on October 31st, while the two-day tournament will take place on November 1st and 2nd. After that, a training camp will follow on November 3rd and 4th.

For years now, Borsa Open has been going beyond the boundaries of a sports competition. It is an event that brings together cultures, nations, and generations, promotes sports, fair play, and friendship, and at the same time makes a strong contribution to the social and tourism development of Mostar. Over several days, the city will host hundreds of athletes, coaches, referees, and guests from all over Europe, which significantly stimulates the local economy and Mostar’s visibility on the international level, it was stated by Judo Club Borsa.

The president of Borsa and vice president of the Judo Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), Franjo Zadro, emphasizes that Borsa Open is more than just sports.

“This event shows how much sport can bring people together. At a time when divisions dominate the world, Borsa Open unites through the energy of youth, mutual respect, and tolerance. Mostar becomes a stage of unity and solidarity,” Zadro emphasized.
