More Than Half Million Broadband Internet Connections

internetIt was concluded as of September this year that in B&H there were a total of 500.209 broadband Internet connections, and Internet penetration rates amounts to 55,37 percent, according to the data from the B&H Communications Regulatory Agency.

In the third quarter of this year the number of connections increased by 1,36 percent in comparison to last year, and Internet penetration rates grew by 1,29 percent.

Of the total number of connections, 292.011 were on xDSL and 142.387 through cable networks. Connections through cable networks were recorded in the third quarter of this year faster growth (4.64 percent) than those via xDSL (.74 percent).

On a smaller scale there were Internet connections through leased lines, as well as other technologies.
