Mostar Airport in Talks with WizzAir and Eurowings?

The head of the Mostar Airport confirmed for Klix.ba that the management of the only international airport in the south of Bosnia and Herzegovina is in contact with Wizz Air and Eurowings with the objective of establishing new and affordable flights.

Marin Raspudic, the director of the Mostar Airport, once again highlighted the efforts of this institution towards establishing low-tariff flights, which is the primary objective.

“The Mostar Airport wishes to bring a low-tariff company which would ensure inexpensive and quality fights from Mostar. We’ve established contact with Wizz Air and Eurowings. These two companies are analyzing the economic justifications for establishing the flights. The management of the Mostar Airport has delivered all necessary information and we’re hoping that we’ll get flights out of Mostar,” said Raspudić for Klix.ba.

The other side noted that Wizz Air is the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe and the larger airline in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as that it’s dedicated to the BiH market for four year now and is constantly investing in developing air traffic trying to fulfill passengers’ needs, both for pleasure and for business.

“In 2017, we marked the introduction of our second place in our base in Tuzla and increased the number of flights from Bosnia and Herzegovina to a total of 17 in eight countries from the airports in Tuzla and Sarajevo. We don’t want to offer predictions regarding our future growth, but we can confirm that we’re always interested in conquering new markets which will contribute to our growth. Wizz Air’s professional team is always considering new opportunities for expanding our network of flights and for providing a larger number of potential passengers access to inexpensive air tickets. We’ll announce every decision regarding new flights in due time,” representatives of Wizz Air said.
