danceOn the occasion of the World Dance Day, on Sunday, 28 April, a dance show called ‘Dance for Children’s Rights’ will be held in Mepas mall in Mostar, reports Fena.

On that occasion dance clubs from Mostar: Erigo-D, Mo-stars, B-dance, majorettes from Mostar, sports dance club ‘Zrinjski’, young dancers from Široki Brijeg will have a performance.

The basic idea of marking of this year’s World Dance Day is to promote children’s rights. Dance groups will, in their own way, present the following children’s rights: right to education and lifestyle, play and love, sports, freedom of speech, the right to be different, healthy environment, freedom of expression.

The World Dance Day is celebrated at 29 April all over the world, since it is the birthday of Jean-Georges Noverre, dance reformer and founder of modern ballet. The basic idea of the Day is to remind that dance is a universal expression form that can overcome all barriers. It is day when one should celebrate dance and movement as an artform, but also as something that is a part of everyday life, said the dance club Erigo-D.
